Exclusively Corporate, the invitation-only education event taking place on Monday, May 13th at IMEX Frankfurt, will be meeting some of the MICE industry’s biggest issues head-on in a series of learning and networking sessions specifically designed for in-house planners.
Beating burnout, designing impactful events and resource constraints will all be covered during the day long program, held at Melia Frankfurt City.
With networking and recharge moments blended into the program, Exclusively Corporate is designed to give corporate planners the opportunity to meet their counterparts from other sectors and make connections with people who could be their next advisor, coach or speaker.
Exclusively Corporate program highlights include:
- How do you motivate a team around a new idea? Pianist and composer Thilo Wolf knows a thing or two about engaging people through his work with orchestras around the world. He’ll lift the lid on his experience and share lessons from the world of music.
- With seven out of 10 people in the events industry on the road to burnout, Mike Ford’s advice on how to embrace unapologetic recovery is essential. The founder of Grateful Lemon explains: “Burnout and overload are now commonplace – it’s the number one reason people leave their jobs and it’s a major problem in our industry.”
- Planners from global corporates including Eszter Mattiassich-Aszody from Siemens Healthineers, Kate Scully from Howden Group Holdings and Stephanie Dubois from SAP will share how they’re navigating the realities of their roles: from integrating AI, managing rising costs and fostering belonging.
- Disabled adventurer Darren Edwards (picture top of post) has had to adopt a new approach to leadership when tackling record-breaking expeditions in high-risk and high-pressure environments. He’ll show how there’s a different, more authentic way to lead: “After a fateful day when my life hung in the balance on the edge of a rockface, I learned several powerful lessons that have shaped my ability to adapt and remain resilient during difficult times. These lessons are incredibly relevant to businesses and their leaders.” NOTE: Edwards is part of IMEX’s Meet the Speakers webinar on Wednesday, March 13th. IMEX CEO Carina Bauer explains: “We know that corporate event planners have their work cut out—budget constraints continue, resources are tight and costs show no sign of reducing. Our education sessions have been crafted to provide honest, real-world answers.
“However, we know that attending an event isn’t just about what you learn, it’s about who you meet. Connections – be they new or existing – are everything. We’ve designed Exclusively Corporate to be an exciting exchange of ideas and a great way to kick start the IMEX Frankfurt experience.”
