Nusa Dua, the luxury enclave on Bali’s southern tip, is now home to Renaissance Hotels’ second property on the Indonesian island.
Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort has 310 guestrooms, four pools, and six food and beverage experiences.
“Nusa Dua has long been a spirited and sought-after enclave in Bali, surrounded by natural beauty, culture and history,” said Catherine Flint, director, Global Brand Management, Renaissance Hotels. “We are thrilled to grown our portfolio in the island, bringing our signature spin on the hotel experience to deliver an unexpected adventure through a local frame of mind.”
The resort sits in the hills above Nusa Dua, overlooking the lush green canopy and the Indian Ocean.
Tasked with the resort’s design, P49 Deesign drew inspiration from the island’s rich culture particularly traditional Balinese dance, which is influenced by nature and the ongoing battle between good and evil.
Design elements include “Good versus Evil” murals and prints at R Bar; dance performance patterns on the backdrop of the resort’s ballroom; and Balinese mask patterns on guestroom ceilings.
The property’s amenities include:
- 12,055 square feet of flexible function space, including a Grand Ballroom that can accommodate up to 1,100 people, five event rooms and a maximum of seven breakout rooms.
- The Spa wellness center offers treatments inspired by Balinese healing methods as well as a 24-hour gym.
- Four themed pools including a lagoon-like jungle pool that is home to The Cove, a wedding venue with an aisle stretching right to the heart of the pool.
- Six food and beverage experiences: Backstage, an all-day dining restaurant offering local and international favorites at its buffet and live stations; Lion X, a contemporary Chinese restaurant; Nusantara by Locavore, which spotlights the country’s culinary heritage; Tanah Liat, a pottery atelier and cooking lab by day that transforms in the evening into an arts-and-crafts inspired restaurant featuring locally-sourced fresh seasonal seafood and plant-based cuisines; Atomic 17, the resort’s pool bar; and integrating lobby and lounge, R Bar.
Renaissance Bali Nusa Dua Resort is a 15-minute drive from the Ngurah Rai International Airport, and within close proximity to the renowned Nusa Dua Beach.
