The Board of Directors of NEOM has announced the addition of a premier lagoon resort and harbor destination called Treyam to its evolving regional development in northwest Saudi Arabia.
Treyam will be located across the opening of an azure lagoon at the southern end of the Gulf of Aqaba. Featuring a unique bridge-like architecture that connects the northern and southern shores, the overwater resort will offer 250 guestrooms. Designed to deliver a new perspective on the waters below and the skies above, the rooms will have partially glass floors and ceilings.
The “bridge” will also be home to a 450-meter infinity pool, delivering an elevated vantage point 36 meters above the lagoon.
Treyam will boast a variety of adventure activities, including sailing, diving and other water sports. It will also have extensive technology-enhanced health and wellness offerings and fitness amenities, alongside luxury spa treatments accompanied by a selection of epicurean cuisines and fine dining options. Entertainment venues will be positioned on the shore at the bridge’s base.
Aligned with NEOM’s commitment to conservation and innovation, Treyam will deliver new standards of environmentally-responsible coastal development. It joins the sustainable coastal tourism destinations previously announced by NEOM, which include Gidori, Leyja, Epicon, Siranna, Utamo, Norlana, Aquellum, Zardun, Xaynor, and Elanan.
The NEOM is a region in northwest Saudi Arabia on the Red Sea being built from the ground up as a living laboratory. It will include hyperconnected, cognitive cities, ports and enterprise zones; research centers; sports and entertainment; and tourist destinations. Its goal is to be a hub for innovation, entrepreneurs, business leaders and companies will come to research, incubate and commercialize new technologies and enterprises in groundbreaking ways. Residents of NEOM will embody an international ethos and embrace a culture of exploration, risk-taking, and diversity.
