Newcom Media has cancelled the 2020 edition of the Canadian Meetings + Events Expo.

The decision was made in consultation with the show’s venue, the Metro Toronto Convention Centre (MTCC), which will not be ready to hold events the size of CMEExpo come August.

“Given the impact that COVID-19 has had on our entire industry, we were hoping that the August show would be the first step towards reconnecting the industry in a personal and meaningful way,” said Melissa Arnott, director of events, CMEExpo. “Unfortunately, we will not have that opportunity in 2020. We are eager to start working on CMEExpo 2021 where we will focus on rebuilding and reconnecting the meetings and events industry in Canada.”

The 2021 edition will be held August 17-18, 2021.
