Santa Monica Travel & Tourism (SMTT) has selected Pulse Travel Marketing as its marketing representative for Canada.
Pulse, one of Canada’s leading travel trade marketing and public relations agencies, will work with SMTT to increase brand awareness and ensure that the destination is prominently positioned with the travel trade and key distribution media channels across Canada. This will include the development and implementation of strategic trade, marketing, and communications programs to increase the profile of Santa Monica, maximize trade opportunities and keep this beachside city top of mind with their target markets.
“Canada is a vital market for Santa Monica tourism and is in the top three countries for international visitors to our community,” says Misti Kerns, president and CEO, SMTT. “We are excited to partner with Pulse Travel Marketing as we elevate Santa Monica’s presence in Canada while highlighting the unique beach lifestyle experiences we offer. We are confident Pulse will leverage their knowledge and understanding of the Canadian travel trade and media to spotlight all that Santa Monica has to offer for a southern California visit. Our community is ready to warmly welcome Canadian visitors for a safe and responsible traveling experience with public health protocols in place.”
Sana Keller, managing partner and public relations director at Pulse, says, “We look forward to working closely with our travel industry and media partners across Canada to attract more travelers to Santa Monica. Canada has always been a top producing market for Santa Monica, but many Canadians may not be aware that the city is home to the state’s widest beaches and a bike path that traverses 35 kilometers of Southern California coastline, unique shopping experiences on Third Street Promenade, Main Street’s excitement, great walkable neighbourhoods and the fact that Santa Monica is synonymous with happiness, sunshine and inclusivity.”
Annika Klint, travel trade and marketing account director at Pulse Travel Marketing, points out that Canadians form a very savvy market and they are already starting to travel again. “The market is primed, and our team can’t wait to begin our work with the travel trade across Canada.”
